Christmas Day

After everyone was done opening gifts at their homes we met up at Jayson and Anita's house for Breakfast, presents, and to spend the day!
Aj, Madison and Addi
Daddy helping Flynnie open his first gift.

I love Addi's smile in this picture... she is so sweet.
Madison with the Tinkerbell quilt I made her. She was Tinkerbell for Halloween this year so when I found this fabric mid October I couldn't help but buy it.
Rooster with the Halo remote control car we bought him.
The boys in their camo
Poor Flynnie, fell asleep half way through presents. That is a reindeer next to his head. Jayson and Anita got him the book The Night Before Christmas and a stuffed reindeer to play with. Such a cute idea.
Rooster break dancing for us.
Jayson and Anita bought Madison the book the wizard of oz and a stuffed Toto as well as a little picnic basket for her to carry Toto around in.
Kari and Lj gave Rick and Kellie a Calender for 2013 with all of our family pictures from this past year. It was such a cool idea and a good way to remember everything that happened in 2012.
It was so exciting to have Kurt and Jenica with us for Christmas. They live in Las Vegas which makes it difficult for us to see them more than a couple of times a year. They are excepting their first baby, a boy, on March 1st of this year. I made him a teddy bear for Christmas as well. Can't wait to meet him!
Jake's gift from his parents this year was a Turkey Fryer. Jake used his brothers twice this year so it seems only fitting for him to have his own. I can't wait for him to try it out!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and are grateful to have spent it with those we love, but it wouldn't be Christmas if we didn't mention our Savior Jesus Christ. We are so grateful for his birth, life, atonement and resurrection that gives purpose and meaning to our lives and hope for an eternity of happiness.

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning was so much fun this year. This was our first Christmas morning at our home together since we have been married, we have always been at his family or my families house. It was so neat to watch Flynn open his gifts. He was a crazy.. trying to eat paper and bows.
He loves the Dinosaur and the piano that Santa got him.  This dinosaur has batteries and pops the colorful balls around. When its turned up all the way it pops them out though. That wouldn't be bad except with our hardwood floors they roll away fast. The Piano was a hit as well... He just smacks it and makes tons of noise! So fun but after a long day I wonder what Santa was thinking when he brought us that!
Daddy helping Flynnie with his stocking.

The cash register we bought him is probably one of hid favorite presents... it scans things and lights up but most importantly it sings... I feel like I must officially be a parent because I occasionally catch myself singing the cash register songs.
Flynnie gave Jake a new mouse pad to take to work that is covered in some of our favorite pictures of him from this last year. If I had to guess this was Jake's favorite present this year.
Jake spoiled me with some of the photography equipment I have been wanting.. This is a batter grip for my camera...
He also got me the backdrops and lighting equipment to take studio style pictures here in my house. I love it! It has been so fun to play with.

I made Flynn I teddy bear for Christmas as well. Here is Daddy helping him open it.

Jake's big gift was a new solid state drive for his computer... If you have no idea what this is then you are just like me. Ü Apparently it helps the computer to run faster more efficiently.
Last but not least is the Flynn boy with his sweet new guitar... the faster he shakes it the faster the music plays. It is such a cool toy. We never had anything cool like that when I was a kid!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with The Overall's this year! We had a wonderful time. Great food, & great company!
Lj is a fantastic cook and was in charge of the meat for Dinner. The picture does not begin to do it justice. This was the most tender, flavorful piece of meat I have ever eaten. I ate WAY to much of it but it was completely worth it. Yum... Prime Rib... Ü
Uncle Matt and sweet Addi
Brenton all ready for dinner..
We actually ate dinner in Jayson and Anita's Garage so that there would be room for everyone to eat dinner together at the table. I have eaten a lot of Christmas dinners in the garage but never a garage that was this nicely decorated. They did a fabulous job!
Lj carving his meat
Everyone eating dinner
After dinner Grandma and Grandpa had a Bingo game for everyone to play. It was so fun.. A great game for  everyone to play together because even the little kids could have their own cards. Grandma pulled them and Grandma announced the numbers.
BINGO!
We left Jayson and Anita's house just a little before 11 to tuck Flynnie into bed and wait for Santa. I made matching Christmas jammies for all of us so Flynn is helping us open them.
Sweet Baby!

Our tree all lit up with Flynn's Presents from Santa.

Hyer Family Christmas

The Hyer Family had Christmas together on December 23. It was the Sunday before Christmas. This was the year for all of us kids to be at our in laws for Christmas so we did Christmas just a couple of days early so we could still celebrate together. It was a wonderful day. We all went to church with mom and dad and then back to their house for dinner and presents.
Veronique asked me if I would get a couple of pictures of their family. They looked so cute! Veronique even made Gemma's cute little dress!
Happy Girl!

The table beautifully set for dinner. Mom brought out her Christmas china and crystal goblets. It makes dishes more difficult because everything has to be washed by hand but it is beautiful and nice to have at least once a year!
The three of us at dinner.
The whole family!
Flynnie opening his present from Steven and JaNae's family. They made him these amazing blocks.. Steven cut them out and JaNae painted them and mod podged the alphabet and some puzzles on them.. They even made a cute little bag for him to cart them around in. He loves them! It was such a thoughtful homemade gift!

Kyle, Lauralee and their son Ashton are living in Houston Texas and were unable to be with us for Christmas so we skyped with them as we opened gifts. They opened theirs and we opened ours. It wasn't quite like having them with us but it was still fun. How blessed we are to have the technology we do!

Grandma got Libby this awesome jewelry making kit! She was so excited!

Chalay and Sam had Steven and JaNae's Name for christmas. JaNae had commented a few months ago about how they didn't really have any nice dishes.. They had all disappeared over the years at church and family gatherings. Chalay etched their last name into some glass dishes so tthat they don't lose them anymore!
Flynn had Lincoln for Christmas so I made him this astronaut suit and Grandma and Grandpa bought him the helmet... he was so excited! He kept jumping around and saying how he was just like a real astronaut now! It was so great! Probably one of my favorite presents to give this year!
Naughty Flynnie pulling all the bows off the presents. Ü
Mom bought dad a gun for Christmas. It is an old style 22 pistol and one that he has been wanting! He was excited to say the least!
Chalay and Marni
Dad bought mom a pair of "hooker boots" as he calls them... probably just becasue Julia Roberts wore them in pretty woman.. she was excited. She hasn't worn cute boots like these in 20 years!
My nephew Carson, like Flynn loves to eat. He eats everything; food, paper, carpet, shoes... you name he has tried.. JaNae recently made the comment to Randy and Veronique that Carson is a goat.. so as a gag gift Randy and Veronique bought Carson his very own stuffed goat.. So funny!
My handsome, naked, Santa baby!
JaNae and Carson!
The Girls at the end of the night!. Chalay and Marni are missing from this picture because it was past Marni's bedtime and they had already left for the night.
