Elk City Days

A few weeks ago the Overalls went to Elk City for the Annual Elk City Days Festivities. We had a blast! There was a parade that the kids all got to be apart of riding their 4 wheeler's down Main Street. The remainder of the day we spent being apart of different competitions put on by the logging association.

Rooster on his 4 wheeler
Brailie, Brenton and Jayson
Kellie and Anita on the Razor. The horns are showing spirit for the ATV Club that we are apart of. Its name is the Elk City Dust Devils so the horns fit.

Sweet Addi
Anita made signs for all of the Kids with their names. They were darling! Covered in glitter which then left everything else covered in glitter! :)
Yummy! Poor Flynn, teething on anything and everything.
Rooster in the Rolling pin toss
Flynn taking a nap in the back of our friends van.

Here I am doing the rolling pin toss... I was terrible at it! Everyone got one practice and then 3 actual throws, needless to say I didn't get any of them through the hole.
Kari on the other hand got two of her rolling pins through it..
Anita rocked it though! She beat out all of the other women and got all 4 of her throws including the practice through the hole.
Anita and the kids with her trophy.
Brenton putting a choker on a log. He beat out all of the other boys in his age group!

Kari the Ax thrower! We all pushed Kari into this one, but she was a good sport about it. She had never thrown an ax before but got two of her three throws to stick beating out a woman that actually did know what she was doing. The real kicker of it was that she used the woman's ax because she didn't have one! Way to go Kari!

Jake and I competing in the Jack and Jill Log sawing contest. We got our fannies kicked in this event! The couple that beat us was in their late 50's and sawed clear through it in 29 seconds. It was incredible!
Jayson and Brenton doing the father/ son log saw... I am so proud of Brenton; He and Jayson may not have had the fastest time but that was a big log and he never gave up!

This guy here was so nice, he felt that Brenton had done a wonderful job and deserved a trophy even if he didn't do it in the fastest time so he gave up his trophy so Brenton could have one.
Kari doing the women's log saw, ironically with the same girl that she beat in the ax throwing!
Daddy is exhausted!
Jayson and L.J. doing the men's cross cut.

We had a fabulous weekend and look forward to this next year when we compete again!
